Electric Lock DC12V Solenoid Door Plate
The Solenoid Electric Lock is an electromagnet that consists of a coil of copper wire with an armature (a metal ingot) in the middle. When the coil is energized, the metal center moves in the coil. This makes the solenoid able to pull on one end.
Application
The Solenoid Electric Lock is suitable for opening a lock, drawer, medical storage, display case, cabinet, window or safe that is powered by some type of intelligent circuit, such as a microcontroller or development board (Arduino, ESP , Raspberry, etc.)
It is usual to activate it or use it in conjunction with some type of Push Pull Solenoid.

How does the Lock work?
This solenoid has an ingot with a sloped cut and good support. It is basically an electronic lock, designed for a single door security cabinet. Normally, the lock is active so you cannot open the door because the solenoid ingot is in the way. He does not use any power in this state. When tension is applied, the ingot contracts so that it no longer protrudes and the door can be opened.
Can it be used with a voltage lower than 12V?
It can be used at 9V, for example, but they generate slower movements.
What is the position of the bolt shaft?
The shaft comes in an initial position when purchased, but by simply removing the two screws it comes with, it can rotate 90°, 180° or 270° to match the position needed.
